An actor and proud snowbird, Lou splits his time between Tucson and Detroit. He appeared in several westerns filmed in Tucson and continues to be a part of the creative and cultural scene here in Tucson. Dr. Banks-Reed, with too many awards to list, transitioned from being a student in a segregated school to a leader in the fight for integration. Raised in the Barrio Anita neighborhood, she dedicated 39 years of her career to TUSD, with Banks Elementary named in her honor.

Born and raised in Tucson, Ernie was an educator and a standout athlete. A Dunbar School and University of Arizona alumnus, he made history as one of the university’s early African American basketball stars and is honored in the UA Ring of Honor.
