    Fred Snowden Former U of A Basketball Coach and the First African American Basketball Head Coach in the NCAA I.

    Join us at 6 PM for a “Fireside Chat with Stacey Snowden” as she commemorates the 50th Anniversary of her Father Coach Fred Snowden.

      Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day

      The Museum encouraged schools throughout Southern Arizona to join in the Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day on November 14, 2022! Our Title Sponsor,AAA, informed us that over 380,000 students participated in the walk to School Day in 46 states, and 1,100 schools registered and participated.

      In Southern Arizona, over 15 schools participated in the walk from various school districts including Tucson Unified School District’s White ES, Miles K8, Manzo ES, Carrillo ES, Pueblo Gardens ES, Robins K8, and Erickson ES along with a select group from Bueno HS, City HS, and Agua Fria. Thanks for honoring a “Day of Dialogue” and courage! Check out these photos provided by TUSD.
