Plan Your Visit

General Admission is free

We are delighted that you are interested in visiting the African American Museum of Southern Arizona. Whether you are planning a self-guided visit, bringing a school group, or scheduling an interactive guided tour, we look forward to welcoming you.

Self-Guided Visits: Explore the museum at your own pace during regular museum hours. Upon arrival, an AAMSAZ team member will greet your group, review museum guidelines, and answer any questions to help you make the most of your visit.

Guided Tours: Enhance your visit with a 40–50 minute interactive guided tour led by an AAMSAZ educator. Tours provide an engaging exploration of African American history in Southern Arizona and can be customized to reflect the age, interests, and educational goals of your group.

Youth & School Groups

  • Groups with participants under 18 years of age must maintain one adult chaperone for every 10 youth.

PreK–12 groups of 30 or more students are required to schedule a guided tour with an AAMSAZ educator.
